Miri, I was wondering if I can learn something from you relating to my entry in the 2008 JBC book awards. My entry in the fiction category was "The Wrestler from Montreal." It sold very well - especially on Amazon - and won marvelous reviews, most notably from the prestigious Kirkus Reviews. (see - http://montrealwrestler.com) There are also copies in Montreal's Jewish Public Library and other public libraries. Yet since sending 2 copies of the novel to the JBC I never heard from them. I understand the winners have long been decided and that my entry had fallen. I haven't a problem with this, but I wonder at times if, at some point, I should have heard from someone at the JBC. Apologies if this is an issue unrelated to your work at the Counci, but perhaps you are close to someone who is. Thanks.
