I recently finished Peter Kuper's Stop Forgetting to Remember. I enjoyed it, though I can't reccommend it to everyone because of the discussions (& depictions) of sexuality.
I was hoping for more Jewish content (as I usually do after finishing graphic novels by Jewish authors).
This fall, I read The Boy in the Striped Pajamas by John Boyne. It's a Holocaust story told from the perspective of a nine-year-old boy whose father is the Commandant at Auschwitz. Though it's technically a YA novel, I recommend it to readers of any age.

Hello everybody!
I am an Israeli!
Few weeks ago, I published a fancy Ceramic art book with my mother ceramics.
My mother is a holocaust survival. She made an Alia on 1945, and lived on a kibbutz till she died on 2006.
By running a kibbutz life, she didn't have a chance to develop a carrier as an artist.
All the rest is written in the book.
You can see the whole book as a PDF file.
It is written in Hebrew & English. The English text starts at the end of the file, and you have to go backwards in order to see it right.
I hope you will enjoy it:

Hello, Heidi, Dara Horn has a new one out. This will be her third. Called All Other Nights. Interensting title it was great to read during passover. Jewish historical fiction. Based on the civil war. I started reading some of it but became busy at school. I was unable to read it. But now that I am out of school I have more time to read it.
You can visit Dara or my blog for more information about it.
I am an independent publisher based in Brooklyn. In collaboration with the Museum of Jewish Heritage downtown, I recently published "Woman of Letters: Irene Nemirovsky and Suite Francaise." How can I get the word out about this book to the JBC Bookspace? I would be happy to send you a copy. A pdf press release is attached with this note. Many thanks.
While not exactly a book, I want to recommend recent audio CD releases by Rabbi Debra Orenstein on the subjects of Teshuvah, Compassion, and Awe. They are available at www.RabbiDebra.com. Wonderful drashot, explanations, and meditative instruction. She offers a tremendous mix of scholarly instruction with a contemporary flare.
I recently finished Danya Ruttenberg's memoir Surprised by God, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I also just started a book club based on religion/spirituality based books so we're reading a bit from all of the faiths. I am working on choosing a good Jewish interest book for our next selection. I'm opened to suggestions!
HI Ms. Trish,
I love that you have a religion/spirituality book club and that you are looking at books from all faiths. I can't help but think that my new book might be perfect for you. It is about the origin of the three monotheistic faiths with an emphasis on the women's perspective. I do a lot of book groups by phone or in person if you live nearby. I hate to be so self-promoting, but if you have time, do check it out. It's called The Woman Who Named God: Abraham's Dilemma and the BIrth of Three Fa... (Little, Brown).
Thanks,
